#BIZCON set to aide Small Business Owners in September

Montgomery Area Chamber Helps Small Business Owners
 
Montgomery, TX (August 22, 2022) Owning a small business is incredibly challenging as the scope of expertise becomes greater than just a single craft or skill.  Payroll, insurance, human resources, and marketing may not be the inspirational part of owning a business, but they are certainly necessary components of a solid business model.  Montgomery Area Chamber understands the small business constraints and is stepping in the gap to provide these valuable resources at their inaugural #BIZCON Small Business Conference sponsored by Lake Conroe ACE Hardware held at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe in Montgomery on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 8am – 12pm.
 
Event brings inspiration to reenergize entrepreneurs.
 
“We are excited to welcome Senator Lois Kolkhorst as our opening keynote speaker this year to kick things off!  Kolkhorst is a serial entrepreneur herself and her candid stories, experiences and touch of humor will refresh our attendees and inspire them to press on and do great things!” Shannan Reid, Executive Director of Montgomery Area Chamber, hosting the event in September.
 
Attendees learn from passionate industry leaders to set solid foundation.
 
When starting their small side hustle just for fun, Scarlett and Brent Stokes quickly realized that their idea could turn into a business.  They soon connected with the Chamber to help establish all the business-to-business relationships they would need to get to the next level.  “I’m excited about the conference because this powerful content will help us create a solid foundation to grow our business,” shared Brent, A Second Round Glass.
 
Reid goes on to explain, “We are bringing together passionate industry leaders to host our breakout sessions to help small business owners with insights on payroll, human resources, health insurance and business insurance.  They may not be all the glamorous topics in day-to-day business, but they are certainly necessary and valuable.  So many small business owners tell me they have great intentions of researching all these things in their free time; but the truth is, a small business owner has no free time.  We can help small businesses greatly by assembling all these necessary resources in one place and making their insights and wisdom accessible!” 
 


There is a science to the marketing.
 
A special presentation will close the event as Texas A&M Human Behavior Lab shares about the science behind marketing.  The department focuses on understanding the human brain and the physical patterns to what people respond to.  They extend their research to include marketing which is a valuable tool that small businesses can use to work smarter, not harder.  When every marketing dollar is precious, these keen insights will help business owners make educated choices about how to market their business.

Margaritaville’s Grand Hall will be filled with exhibitors and the opportunity to engage in high profile business to business networking.  Time will be scheduled for breaks between sessions to allow attendees to visit with sponsors and exhibitors and learn of other services they could partner with in the area.  The event will feature a complimentary head shot photo booth sponsored by Photography by Niki.  The booth will be running at the opening of the event, during each scheduled break and remain open for a short time following the last presenter.  Niki will accommodate as many head shots as time permits for this event opportunity, first come, first served.
