Lone Star Parkway and Buffalo Springs Bridge updates

Getting around to the north side of Montgomery has been through a bit of a detour for some months are we are excited to report there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Lone Star Parkway repaving is officially completed and the roadway is open from Hwy 105 to FM 149 in its entirety.

City Council approved the bid for construction to the Buffalo Springs Bridge last Tuesday evening and work should begin in the coming weeks.  The anticipated completion and reopen date should fall somewhere between late March and mid-May.  Weather will play the biggest factor this winter for how long the full scope of the project will take.  City officials say that the bridge could open sooner while the final construction continues along the sides of the road in that stretch of the drive.  We will keep you updated on the progress and any changes to the timeline.  Get your glasses ready to toast when we pop the champagne cork to reopen the bridge!

Walden Rd residents can anticipate another access point to get into Montgomery very soon as the Lone Star Bend connection will open.  We will keep you posted on the progress of that access route as well!

Stay safe and travel on!
