About Us

Tachus founder Hal Brumfield was trying to help his mom, a retired school teacher in Oak Ridge North, figure out why her Internet bill had unexpectedly skyrocketed. After spending hours debating contracts and rates with a large Internet service provider, Hal decided there had to be a better way. That was when he founded Tachus, a Fiber Internet provider created to right the wrongs of other Internet companies.
